Bidding Ramadhan Goodbye

Posted by ♥ aNNa ♥ at 12:24 AM
They say all good things must come to an end, and so must Ramadhan. Are you sad? You ought to be. We have less than five days to really make use of the greatness of Ramadhan before Syawal comes to greet us its warm Salaam.

*tarawikh with las sisters*

To us believers, this month is extra special because everything that we do glorifies Allah. It is the only time where we, the believers, can get the best of 30 days of our own entire lives each year; where every minute is the best of minutes and every hour is the best of hours. Ramadhan is precious to us all because it is the only month where our deeds are greatly accepted and multiplied, our pahala is doubled, and our prayers are answered.

It's like riding an escalator - whoever gets on it and makes use of it will be elevated closer and closer to Allah. What is more special about Ramadhan is that Satan is chained, thus we have no one but ourselves to blame for any wrongdoing. How sad is this moment knowing that the King of all months is leaving us.

"Aku minta ampun daripada Allah yang tidak ada Tuhan yang berhak disembah selain daripadaNya, yang hidup dan yang menguruskan makhlukNya dan aku bertaubat kepadaNya."

With only a few days left to bidding this blessed and merciful month, let's look back and reflect: Have we fulfilled the requirements of Taqwa (piety) and increased our consciousness to Allah? Have we fought our lusts and desires and defeated them? Have we left one or all of our sinful habits and replaced them with the good ones? Have we thanked Allah enough for everything He has given us?

If all your answers are YES, alhamdulillah, I applaud you. Regardless of how small the improvements may seem, just be grateful than we are now better and improved Muslims than we were 11 months before. Let's try to help ourselves this way and spread the love of Islam. Let's continue pleasing Allah so He will give us Jannah. InsyaAllah, He will ease the way.

More, wish we could get more of Ramadhan.

"Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from You. Truly, You are the Bestower" (3:8).
