Foodie Friday

Posted by ♥ aNNa ♥ at 11:34 PM 0 comments
I made Boo's heart flutter watching me walking down his imaginary red carpet today with this rare Friday look (rofl):

I'm really not a Baju Kurung nor Jubah personnever in my mind had I thought about going to a mall in either one of them!so it was such a rare scene, indeed. Initially, I planned to wear a brown shawl to match the bag. I even had both the shawl and inner ironed but Boo came a few minutes ahead of time so... I just grabbed the easiest one I could get, le sigh.
*but it matches Boo's T, yay!*

Love love looooove this straw bag I just bought!

Believe it or not, the first time I wore this Jubah was during our Khatam al-Quran ceremony and that was... 11 months ago(?). I didn't think I would wear it again so it became a surprise to the both of us (him, for he is so used to see me in skinnies and jumpsuits and me, for I am not a fan of kurungs and the likes).
Ada gaya bakal isteri solehah tak? Ahem.

For some reason, my 25 years and 5 months old self told me to wear this today and I am glad it did. I guess it was partly because we celebrated 'Eidul Adha two days ago so, still in the mood for Hari Raya. In fact, why not give Friday a little respect with a decent ootd once in a blue moon, yes? :)

We had so much fun, alhamdulillah.

Lunch date at Dubu Dubu Seoul Food
Went light with Pajeon (a Korean Pancake served with soy sauce + tangy vinegar)
Dang flabbit! That acidic taste of vinegar still lingers in my mouth as of RIGHT NOW!

I ordered Citron Tea 'cause I like how it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

And Boo ordered cold Patbingsu (a Korean famous desert of shaved ice topped with sweet red beans, soy jelly and corn flakes [presumably oats/cereals]) simply because he's addicted to it.

My new FAVOURITE Korean dish after Kimchi Soondubu Jjigae and Bibimbap
Cheese Toppokki (chewy Korean rice cakes served with creamy cheese)
OH GOSH MY MOUTH WATERS AS I'M TYPING THIS!!!

Then at Planet Popcorn:
We bought Seaweed Popcorn for me and Kimchi Popcorn for Boo

Guess what? The name says it all!

So, here's something diary-worthy.
I managed to persuade Boo to buy not just one, but TWO pairs of coloured jeans at Uniqlo! Brown and grey-ish blue (even pulled out my salesperson cap to convince him how the oxblood one looks good on him as well, pfft!, I failed). Anyway, for a guy who grows up wearing plain Ts and black and dark blue jeans (and doesn't like shopping (like, wt-eff right?)) , A+ for your courage (sebab mendengar kata).

See what am talkin' about?
Clearly I'm doing this for your own good, okay.
:P

We need colours; spice up a lil'!

CUE MUSIC!
"I know you want meh, want meh,
You know I wantcha, wantcha,
I know you want mey~~h,
You know I wantcha, wantcha!"

You never know if you don't try.
Now, don't forget to alter/hem both jeans.
Aiyo, why-lah you so cute...
Kekeke.

P/s: Had our dinner at Steamboat Antarabangsa for the first time because it was getting late, and Seoul Garden was nowhere near our sight.
Thank you classmates for the recommendation!

WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING!

Posted by ♥ aNNa ♥ at 2:55 AM 0 comments
YOU'RE ENGAGED!
YAY!

And of course, like any other women, your first thought may have been:
"What to wear? What am I going to wear on my big day?"
From that moment onward, you know the pressure is on. You can't tell whether whatever you are thinking at that time is actually a blissful excitement or simply sheer panic. Let's face it, choosing the best wedding dress is utterly stressful! You have so many things going on in your mind considering whether the dress is perfect enough to woo yourself, what's more your guests! The fact that all eyes will be on you and the photos that will be around forever, you've got to admit:
That's a lot of pressure on one friggin' dress!

Or so I thought.

Hahahaha.

Yes, I am not talking about myself.
No, I am not yet engaged.
No, is it not me who is going to get married.
Boohoo.
http://www.get-em-ol.blogspot.com
I was actually referring to my one of my dear friends.
I wish it was me, though. Ops.
Moving on....

My friend is tying the knot soon so she will be needing us, her awesome stylish all-single girlfriends (is that even necessary?) to help her find the right wedding dress. She is my ex-schoolmate from SSP; can't reveal the name yet since this is still a secret to the rest of our other friends. She has our mouths zipped. So thanks to the caffeine I had just now, I am more than happy to post something up tonight. Again.

So basically, the process of shopping for a wedding dress can a fabulous adventure. There is no doubt that it can be quite stressful and overwhelming. That is why I have to keep myself checked and prepared. Not that I need it now but it's true like what they say, "If you want peace, you must prepare for the war."

http://www.get-em-ol.blogspot.com
Hmmmmmm...
Okay that doesn't sound like it. But you get what I mean, right?

When To Start Shopping?
I think the perfect time to order or buy  a wedding dress is at least six months before the wedding. Obviously you will need ample time to make the right decision. Besides, more time gives you less hassle especially in terms of some rush charges.

A Dress That Fits Your Body Well!
Who doesn't want to look great on their wedding day? Know about your body type and what kinds of dresses generally look good on you all this while. Opt for a dress that has similar lines to your regular dresses that make you feel confident and beautiful.

Expensive Dress Is Not Necessarily The Best Kind
If money is an issue, go for the one that falls under your budget. You will need more money to spend on other things than just a wedding dress. Most importantly, always remember that it is your wedding day. So choose the one that makes you comfortable and feels like you. It should be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

WOW.
Still can't believe I will be doing this very soon.
I mean, for her!
Not for me!

3 DAYS OF FUN!

Posted by ♥ aNNa ♥ at 12:28 PM 0 comments
HEAR YE, HEAR YE!
I’VE GOT GOOD NEWS!
*woot woot!*

Well, I just got home from Shah Alam (yesterday) and I spent three days there for various reasons. I had fun, TOTALLY. All thanks to my dear Boo. I absofreakinglutely enjoyed these 3 days so much. It was a joyful ride each time, no matter where we go.
MySpace

************
Day 1
So I went there last Saturday, by bus of course. Later when I arrived, we went straight to Seoul Garden for Boo’s 26th small birthday celebration. A lovely day it was.
MySpace

Oh, and guess who I met? My junior from SSP, IZZATI [Izat] -- She was as lanky as always! Knew her when she was in Form 1 while I was in Form 4. We were in the same sport's house, RED HOT RUBY in which a year later, I became the *ahem* House Captain.
MySpace

Next stop was our favourite mall, Mid Valley. His, to be honest. Hehe and YES!! I finally bought a new handbag and a stiletto! Both are very, VERY gorgeous looking – they made me drool! Well, the day went by just as great.
Shopping is the best therapy?
*PRECISELY*
MySpace

Oh, and there was a PIKOM PC FAIR too. It was hectic, crowds everywhere and they had such small lanes for everyone to jostle around – not really Boo’s thing. Poor baby. Well I bought a new cooling pad, that and only that. Haha. The place was packed like h*ll so... Thanks again Baby.
あなたはほんとに最高です
(Anata wa honto ni saikōdesu!)
-- You’re the best! --

We had Subway for dinner.
MySpace

************
Day 2
Attended Lulu's wedding (Fit's sister), after that we went to Amcorp Mall to find a tailor for my next “Wedding Kurung”. Oh, don’t get me wrong. It is for K.Mel’s (Boo’s friend). Can you imagine? RM120 for a simple, PLAIN modern kurung? And an additional of 100-freaking-50-ringgit just for the beads?? No way I would spend my money THAT much. JEEZ, that was undoubtedly overrated but I had no choice.
Later, we went back to Mid Valley for some mouth-watering dinner at Nando’s. It’s been awhile since we last ate there. Imagine Nando’s hot chicken and spicy sauces... Ah, just the thought of them makes my mouth water. Again.
BLVD. What a night...
MySpace
P/s: Met my old SSP friends, Azie and Picah at Jusco; doing part-time. Hehe. Hey, girls!

************
DAY 3
Another fun day at Mid Valley.
*Saw Yayez with her boyfie. Ehem*
Played a few games at the video games arcade (what’s the name?) before we watched Beastly. It was the only 11.00++am show we could get before I went back to Tapah so I blame no one for that. Only from me – Nothing to brag about really, but still watchable. It's pretty much a human version of Beauty and The Beast, with a little twist of its own originality. It has good moral values to learn from, too.

Then we headed straight to Shah Alam for my walk-in interview and here’s the GOOD NEWS!
I GET THE JOB! WOOHOO!
From now on, you may call me a BEAUTICIAN. Hahaha.
MySpace
Heck yeah, no kidding! I’m a beautician. Not yet officially but I’ll start working as one starting the next Monday. RY Saloon. Well, there’s so many things to think about now as I have only less than a week to make a decision – whether or not to accept the offer; with my bestie’s wedding invitation on this coming Sunday – to go or not to go and to be prepared for everything that I might need during the “migration”... Man, tough call.
MySpace
However, I thank Allah for making it easier as I prayed for and I want to thank everyone for the kind prayers and wishes. You know who you are. Best of luck to me, hope everything goes fine since the first day and onwards. InsyaAllah.
To my dear boo,

Today had been fun.

I met my boo boo.
(n,n)v

1.30pm at Bukit Jalil - then we spent some quality time at Mid Valley.
We were supposed to watch Karate Kid but apparently we chose not to.
Err.. Blame me. I already watched the movie yesterday (18.06.2010) with my sister at Jaya Jusco.
='P

Sorry boo boo.
Fezra wanted to watch the movie, so badly.
The school break is ending soon so I couldn't say no.
But I knew you don't mind.
Ayte..?

Um. Am I right?
Boo boo?
*hihi - isn't that cute?!*

We'll watch next time okay?
But yes, I had fun!
Thank you so very much for today.

WELCOME 4TH SEM!

Okay let's see what I've prepared for this new semester.

Hurmmm....

That will be...

NOTHING!

*hahaha*

After some mental-stressed registration I faced during the day, with no-results revealed yet which make me sick *I thought I can already forget about it and move on!*, we came out with an idea, (when Fitty suggested; I was thinking the same idea too, except for Le'lyn who always "x kesahh..." with most of everything) to have our lunch at Nando's!

Go Fitty!
Yesterday I craved for Nando's, today I EAT Nando's!
*hurray!*
And we lingered awhile at PKNS (on stage, y'all!) *okay not exactly ON THE STAGE; only at the corner of it* just to loose the tight muscles after some chicken digestions, window-shopping and "baju raya" surveys.
Well ho-ho-ho!
That's all what I prepared so far!
*haha*

Happy photostatting new notes MATES!

BK SURPRISES!

Posted by ♥ aNNa ♥ at 12:11 AM 6 comments
Wondering what are the SURPRISES I have today?
:
(Read this fast)
:
After being stucked doing THREE mind-maps and must-have each brief description about philosophers asked by Prof.J [which she said she asked for TWO that caused my breakfast skipped *okay that was because I -not to mention most of everyone- did the task last minute*] but ended up we were not asked to submit it because she didn't feel like collecting them during the Sociology in Education class, activated the student's ID *to enable you to sit for the exam*, settled my subject payment, and took my mid-sem exam slip, (okay you may take your breath for a sec) ...Fitty-Le'Lyn-Kuchik came out with an idea to hang out and take our lunch at Burger King.
:
So the first surprise is up!
:
KLIK!!
*the 5 cups of chili sauce are mine and Fitty's ONLY*

:

Half-way munching my SECOND Whopper Jr. (they're having promotion!), Abang texted me and said he wanted to come!
:

**rindu la tuh. hikhikhik!*

However, we ate at Kopitiam Station in Plaza Alam Sentral (to give him a short tour) and so the second surprise is also up!

:
Sizzling Blackpepper Chicken Chop Yumm Yumm!!

(though I'm already full --- what a flexible stomache I have!)

Thanks for the visit Abang!

2 MOVIES! And Err...

Posted by ♥ aNNa ♥ at 10:59 PM 13 comments
Two days ago which was on Sunday, I went to Pavilion with who-else-then. (Hee)
We watched TWO movies
(sometimes we do watch three movies in a row)

Coming Soon and Paul Blart: Mall Cop movie tickets
Both are in different genre, but we both enjoyed watching them.
For those who feel hesitate to watch these movies, (I know they don't have big promos done), I'll give you hints whether you should or should not give them a hit, BUT in another post.
(Well this is promo, if you know what I mean). Hehe.
Ate at T.G.I Friday'sAppetizingly Yummy!
And my NEW shoes is killing me!
(Which means, I had to buy a NEW pair of socks! --- good though cause I can have collections on that. Haha)
Had a leisure tea-break at J.Co Doughnuts & Coffee (my favee!)
Honestly, we were actually suffering from an ankle pain as we both wore NEW pairs-on-the-feet on that day (well now I really hate the word NEW). It was quite a misery as we had this wierd walk, "terhenjut-henjut" every time we put steps on the floor.

Then, while lingering in-and-out of most of all stores,
I found this!
And this!
Imagine my reaction;
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
"OH.NO...NO.NO.NO.NO.NO.NO!!"
Well, a new reminder pops up since then.
>>> "S.O.O.N." <<<
(Hahaha)

Anyhow, Abang is such a sweetie! He bought me this dress.
**I know YOU were worried if I spend on something again, Fitty darling. Hehe**
Officially, this is my very FIRST dress.
(Fyi, I never had a dress before. I mean, a REAL dress)

So a first fit (your name is everywhere!), in a NAVY way!

Thanks alot Abang!

P/s: Never mind if you think the dress is not that pretty, cause I had hard time finding a dress which the type I prefer. If it does exist, it will cost me nearly thousand!

Fitty ALERT: Thanks for the help, darl. (You asked me to go to JASPAL and said the clothes are affordable. Well, I picked one and RM759 is affordable??) Hahaha.
